Welcome to Troop 36 of Eau Claire, Wisconsin … Eau Claire’s oldest Boy Scout Troop. We were founded in 1932 by our sponsor, Grace Lutheran Church. Since 1932, we have had 27 Scoutmasters, 7 Scouters who received the District Award of Merit, 7 Scouters who received the Silver Beaver, 5 Scouters who received the Church Lamb Award, 4 members who became Council Presidents, 100 Boy Scouts who received their Eagle Awards, 29 Boy Scouts who received their Pro-Deo et Patria Award and 4 Boy Scouts who received their God and Church Award.
We have a very active troop. Every year we go on several Camporee events to learn new skills and achieve new merit badges. We attend a week-long session at Camp Phillips, enjoy a ski trip to Trollhaugen and have a great time with the climbing Merit Badge activity at Vertical Endeavors in the Twin Cities. Older scouts have the opportunity of attending a week long camp out west or High Adventure trips to places like Philmont Scout Camp. Throughout the year, we have weekend outings at our very own Troop Camp-Camp Davidson. In July 1962 Mr. & Mrs. Brandrup donated 40 acres of land in the Town of Brunswick to Troop 36 to be used as a campground.  The scouts have used the land for camping, sledding, archery, as well as planting thousands of trees. We have Troop Meetings Monday nights and outings year-round.
